A LETTER FROM AOPT REGARDING COVID-19

To the patients of Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy,

There's no doubt that the coronavirus (COVID-19) is creating challenges for

all of us, both personally and professionally. First and foremost, we hope

that you and your family are remaining safe and healthy. We are writing to keep you informed of our recommendations as well as the steps we are taking to continue offering the care you require while providing you and our staff a safe environment.

We always keep our clinic clean and disinfected, and we have increased both

the frequency and scope of these cleanings in accordance with CDC recommendations to help ensure both our patients and staff are kept healthy. Similarly, hand washing has always been an important aspect of our

clinic’s safety regulations and will continue to be so, however, we will emphasize it even more now with our non-treating staff as well as patients.

Additionally, during this time, AOPT will have certain operational limitations

in place specific to the present health concerns; including maintaining cleaning and masking protocols. Keeping with the “6 foot rule”, all patients will be well spaced, aligning with this safe and healthy practice.

We are working closely with our team to ensure that anyone who is not feeling well understands that we expect them to stay home.

What if I am just feeling cold symptoms?

If you are possibly feeling sick or might be coming down with a cold or flu

like symptoms, or if living with someone who is sick, please stay home. We

are trying to take every precaution by limiting the patient count. Please just

call to let us know and we will reschedule without a cancellation fee.

What do I do if I am feeling good, but have just returned from a trip?

In order to keep our patients and staff healthy, we ask that patients who

have recently traveled to a high-risk country or city, had any exposure to

symptomatic or confirmed positive cases, or confirmed positive themselves

not come into the clinic.

What should I do if I am over 65 years old?

For patients over 65 years old, please consider the importance of your

condition when deciding to come in. We are more than happy to reschedule

for a later date if your condition is not too critical.

Where can I get more information on COVID-19?

You can get the latest information from reputable sources such as:

• U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

About coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Please rest assured that the staff at Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy

are monitoring the situation closely and that we will continue to consult and

seek input from internal and external experts to provide the best guidance

and advice for you, our valued patients.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Patti Sogaard, MPT
