Meet our staff

Solomon Joseph, MPT

  • Solomon Graduated with a Master's degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University in 1993. He earned a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 1990 and has worked in the Long Beach area since 1993, including five years as a large outpatient facility Clinical Director. Solomon developed and is the director of our aquatic therapy program. Additionally,  Solomon has been a Dynamic Tape clinical instructor since 2013. 

Dawn Ann Hageman, PT, DPT, OCS, C

  • Dawn earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 and worked at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 12 years. She was the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Clinical Resident in 2007 and earned her Orthopaedics Clinical Specialty Certification in 2008. She has been a member of the Cedars-Sinai/USC Glorya Kaufman Dance Medicine Center and the Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease Clinic. Also, she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2003. She has had extensive training in abdominal and pelvic health and  women's health. Areas of focus include pregnancy and postpartum issues, pelvic pain, as well as incontinence. Her areas of expertise include orthopedics, women's health, working with dancers, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is involved in the women's health, orthopaedic, and sports physical therapy sections. 

Alan Vu, PT, DPT

  • An alumni of California State University Long Beach, Alan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, followed by his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Inspired by his passion to help others, Alan’s desire to become a Physical Therapist originated from his community-based experience in volunteer work and desire to have a positive impact in the lives of others. As such, Alan maintains a passion for assisting in the treatment and well-being of individuals with general musculoskeletal injuries and individuals with movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Post-stroke and overall balance impairments. Along with being a great practitioner, in his off-time, Alan enjoys photography, exercising, and going to Disneyland.


Kai Yamamoto, OTR/L

  • Kai Yamamoto graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in  Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2014.  He  graduated from Dominguez Hills with his Master of Occupational Therapy  degree in 2018.  He has worked at hand clinics in Los Angeles and the  Orange County areas.  He was a presenter at the American Occupational  Therapy Association Annual Conference in 2018.  He is fluent in Japanese speaking and proficient on writing using hiragana and katakana characters. 

Amanda Preston, OTR/L

  • Amanda graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York in 2017.  She earned her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the  University of Southern California in 2020. As a graduate student at USC,  her passion for hand therapy continued to grow, as she worked alongside certified hand therapists in various clinics in Southern California.  Amanda is excited to be a member of the AOPT Team and looks forward to  maximizing each patients' hand rehabilitation by providing  individualized treatments.

Rusaly Mohammad, PTA/ATC

  • Rusaly ("Rus") graduated from California State University, Long Beach with his B.S. in Kinesiology in 2003. He passed his National Board Examination as an Athletic Trainer in 2004. In 2006, he graduated from Cerritos College and obtained his Physical Therapy Assistance License. Rus has been with us since 2003 and works as a PTA/ATC. He also works in neurological pediatric settings helping acute and chronic patients with conditions such as stroke(s) and brain trauma(s). Additionally, Rus serves as therapy support for the aquatic therapy program at AOPT. 

Heather Lacquement, PTA

  • Heather Lacquement graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from California State University, Long Beach in 2002. She graduated from Cerritos College with her degree as a physical therapy assistant in 2008. She has worked at orthopedic clinics in the Orange County area, as well as conducted aquatic therapy classes.

Kim Sila

Billing Manager and Claims Specialist


Kim has been with AOPT since 2002, managing the front desk. She has over 20 years of medical front office experience and is extremely proficient in handling all insurance and billing questions. She also coordinates scheduling and attains insurance authorizations for workers compensation cases.

Arianne Uy

Office Manager and Patient Support


Arianne graduated from California State University, Long Beach and received her B.S. in Kinesiology, option in Exercise Science in 2010. She works in the business office helping with authorizations and billing.  In her free time, she enjoys baking everything from cookies to cakes, as the owner of her very own home-based baking business.
