Dawn Ann Hageman, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Orthopaedic Clinical Specialty Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease Women's Health Pregnancy Postpartum

Dawn earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 and worked at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 12 years. She was the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Clinical Resident in 2007 and earned her Orthopaedics Clinical Specialty Certification in 2008. She has been a member of the Cedars-Sinai/USC Glorya Kaufman Dance Medicine Center and the Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease Clinic. Also, she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2003. She has had extensive training in abdominal and pelvic health and  women's health. Areas of focus include pregnancy and postpartum issues, pelvic pain, as well as incontinence. Her areas of expertise include orthopedics, women's health, working with dancers, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth-Disease. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is involved in the women's health, orthopaedic, and sports physical therapy sections. 

Solomon Joseph, MPT

Solomon Graduated with a Masters degree in physical therapy from Loma Linda University in 1993. He earned a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 1990 and has worked in the Long Beach area since 1993, including five years as a large outpatient facility Clinical Director. Solomon developed and is the director of our aquatic therapy program. Additionally,  Solomon has been a Dynamic Tape clinical instructor since 2013. 

Rusaly Mohammad, PTA/ATC


Rusaly "Rus" graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2003. He passed his National Board Examination as an Athletic Trainer in 2004. In 2006, he graduated from Cerritos College and obtained his Physical Therapy Assistance License. Rusaly has been with us since 2003, but now works as a PTA / ATC. He also works in neurological pediatric settings helping acute and chronic patients with conditions such as strokes and brain traumas. Additionally, Rus also serves as therapy support for the aquatic therapy program at AOPT.

Karen Deal, OTR/L


Karen is Graduate of Loma Linda University and has been an Occupational Therapist since 1983. She has extensive experience in fabricating dynamic and static splints for multiple diagnoses. Karen joined AOPT in May, 2008. She achieved her Advanced Practice Certifications in Hand Therapy and in Physical Agents and Modalities in 2004.

She also completed certification in Neurodevelopmental Techniques (Bobath) in 1989. She is currently studying to become a Certified Hand Therapist. Karen  is also a member of HTSGLA, Hand Therapy Society of Greater Los Angeles.

Kim Sila


Office Manager, Billing and Claims Specialist

Kim has been with AOPT since 2002, managing the front desk. She has over 15 years of medical front office experience and is extremely proficient in handling all insurance and billing questions. She also coordinates scheduling and attains insurance authorizations for workers compensation cases.

Marivic Sapitan


Physical Therapy Aide / Assistant Business Office Manager

Marivic graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a double major and received a B.S. in Kinesiology and a B.A. in Economics in 2012. She assists with patient care in the gym and works in the business office helping with computer programming, authorizations and billing.

Arianne Uy


Physical Therapy Aide / Assistant Office Manager

Arianne graduated from California State University, Long Beach and received her B.S. in Kinesiology, option in Exercise Science in 2010 and is planning to get her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.    She assists with patient care in the gym and works in the business office helping with authorizations and billing.  In her free time, she enjoys baking everything from cookies to cakes, as the owner of her very own home-based baking business.
